Terms of Service

What you get when you buy a song from Cantesse, what you may do with it, and what we will not write.

最近更新: 2026-09-07

Cantesse is operated by jinyan LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. These terms cover buying and using a custom song from cantesse.com. Buying one means you accept them.

What we sell

You answer five questions about a person and an occasion. We use those answers to produce an original recording — words and music both — and deliver it as an audio file, usually within a few minutes.

Each song costs a single payment. There is no subscription and nothing renews. A three-song purchase gives you three uses, good for one year from the date of purchase.

The song is written by a machine

The lyrics and the recording are generated by an AI music model from the brief your answers produce. No human songwriter, singer or musician is involved, and no real artist performs on it. We say this plainly because it changes what the gift is, and because a person receiving it deserves not to be misled about it.

Two takes of the same brief will differ. So will two songs from identical answers. What we promise is a finished, original recording that uses your details — not a particular sound, key, voice or arrangement.

Hearing it before you pay

Writing a song and hearing the first thirty seconds costs nothing. Those thirty seconds are the real opening of the real recording, not a separate sample. You pay only to unlock the rest.

That is deliberate: if the song is wrong, you have spent nothing, and you can answer the questions again.

What you may do with your song

Once you have paid for a song, you may:

  • Play it, keep it, and send it to whoever it was written for.
  • Post it anywhere, including public social media, with or without credit.
  • Play it at a private event — a birthday, a wedding, a funeral.
  • Use it in a video you make, commercial or not.

You may not resell the recording as a product of its own, register it with a performing rights organisation or a distributor as your own composition, or claim a human wrote it.

We keep the right to generate other songs from other briefs that may resemble yours. Nobody can own a mood, an occasion or a chord progression, and with enough songs about grandmothers some of them will sound alike.

What we will not write

We refuse briefs that ask for a song that harasses, threatens, degrades or sexualises a real person, that impersonates a specific artist or a real person's voice, that promotes violence or hatred against a group, or that is about a child in a sexual or violent way.

We may refuse anything else we judge to be aimed at hurting the person it names. A refused brief is refunded in full if you have already paid.

Refunds

The refund policy is part of these terms.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in details to yourself. Tell us if you think somebody else has got into it.

What we do not promise

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available at any particular moment, that a song will arrive within a particular time, or that you will like it. Music generation depends on a third-party provider that can be slow or unavailable, and when it fails we will not have charged you.

Where the law allows us to limit our liability, we limit it to what you paid us for the song in question. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and a change applies to purchases made after it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Nothing here takes away a consumer-protection right you hold where you live — if your local law gives you something these terms do not, your local law wins.
