Songs for the People You Love
Every list here is sorted by the person, not the genre. Pick who you are giving it to and we will tell you which songs fit, when each one works, and what to do when none of them quite says it.

How it works
Three steps. The first one is the only hard part.
- 1Tell the storyFive questions. Who it’s for, the occasion, three details only you two know, the feeling you want, and the names that have to be in it.
- 2Pick the soundCountry, pop, acoustic, R&B, gospel or rock. A man’s voice or a woman’s.
- 3Listen, then unlockA 30-second preview in about two minutes. Pay only if you love it. You get the full song, the lyrics, and a page you can send.
Common questions
- How do I pick a song for someone?
- Work from their life, not your taste. What was playing when they were twenty, what they sing in the car, what was on at the wedding. A song they already love beats a better song they have never heard.
- What if no song is quite right?
- That is the usual outcome, and it is the reason this site exists. Famous songs are about somebody else’s family. Answer five questions about yours and we will write one that is not.
